Couple's counseling is a place to improve your relationship. I am here to help and offer support and guidance.
I work with kids, teens, and adults ages 6 and up. I offer in-person and virtual sessions.
I see kids, teens, and adults (ages 6 and up). I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues. As a team, we will develop a collaborative viewpoint where we can explore and process any difficulties related to school or work, relationships, life transitions, learn critical life skills, and create meaningful connections in your life. My passions include creating a safe place to talk about anything that you want to work through, and breaking the stigma of mental illnesses.
In your relationship, are you experiencing communication issues, differences that are creating issues in your partnership, or are needing to get back to when things were even better? As a counselor, my role is to be as fair and equal as possible. In couple's counseling the goal is to give each partner time to talk, listen, and come together as a team. I utilize skill training which will cover tools to benefit your relationship.

Yes, for clients that are kids to mid teens I offer parent sessions as an option. These parent sessions give the opportunity for parents to discuss any concerns, share background information, progress updates, and learn parenting tools. Parents are also welcome to have a phone call with me as needed. I usually bring parents back at the end of each session to go over schedule and parents can ask a question or share a comment at that time. For older teens, I will discuss incorporating the parents with them and leave it up to them a bit more. If there is a concern that needs to involve a parent then I will discuss with the client and schedule a parent session.
No, I am a contract (1099) therapist at Anna Leason & Associates which is also known as L&P Associates. This means that I am not an employee but I am working under their name and under their company policies.
New clients begin with an initial session to determine if we are the right fit. This session allows you to share background information, discuss what you are needing out of counseling, and plan your next steps.
